Statement Of Ethics Publication

Financial Advisor  is committed to adhering to best practices in publication ethics, including the handling of errors and retractions. The prevention of publication misconduct is one of the key responsibilities of the editorial board. Any form of unethical behavior is not acceptable, and the journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Authors submitting manuscripts to Financial Advisor  confirm that the content of their work is original. Furthermore, they warrant that their manuscript has not been published previously, in whole or in part, in any language, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The duties of editors, authors, and reviewers are based on the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors.

Publication Decisions

The editor of the journal is responsible for deciding which of the submitted manuscripts should be published. The editor may be guided by the journal’s editorial policies and is bound by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may consult other editors or reviewers when making publication decisions.

Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their intellectual content, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views.

Confidentiality

The editor and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the explicit written consent of the author.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and, through communication with authors, may also help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.

Promptness

Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to evaluate the research reported in a manuscript, or who knows that timely review will not be possible, should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others, except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should clearly express their opinions and support them with appropriate arguments.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any claim that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported should be accompanied by the appropriate citation. Reviewers should also bring to the editor’s attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other published work of which they have personal knowledge.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and must not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the submission.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors of original research manuscripts must present an accurate account of the work performed, along with an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. The paper should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the study. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention

Authors may be required to provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review. Where feasible, authors should also be prepared to provide public access to such data, in accordance with the ALPSP–STM Statement on Data and Databases. In any case, authors are expected to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. If the work and/or words of others have been used, they must be appropriately cited or quoted.

Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication

Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be provided. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the development and interpretation of the reported research.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All individuals who have made substantial contributions should be listed as co-authors. Those who have contributed to specific substantive aspects of the research project should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate co-authors are included in the manuscript and that no inappropriate authors are listed. The corresponding author must also ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors are required to disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that could be perceived to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the research project must also be clearly disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editorial office to retract or correct the paper.

Authors of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made the most significant contribution to the creation of the work. All individuals who contributed substantially to the research should be listed as co-authors. Those who participated in the preparation of the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.

Before the final acceptance of a manuscript for publication, it is necessary that the author and all co-authors approve the final version of the paper.

Changes in Authorship

Changes in authorship refer to the addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names in the accepted version of a manuscript. No changes to author information are permitted after acceptance and publication in the online version.

If a change in authorship is required, the following must be provided:

  1. a clear explanation of the reason for adding or removing an author;
  2. written confirmation (submitted as a scanned document via email) signed by all authors, confirming their agreement with the proposed change;
  3. consent from the author being added or removed, which will be requested and verified by the editor.

Requests that are not submitted by the corresponding author will not be considered.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors are required to submit original manuscripts. If the work relies on or references other sources, these must be properly cited in accordance with citation guidelines. If ideas from other authors are used, appropriate citation and, where necessary, written permission must be obtained.

Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical behavior and is strictly unacceptable. Authors are required, prior to submission, to check their manuscripts using appropriate plagiarism detection tools. The Editorial Board reserves the right to independently verify all submitted manuscripts using plagiarism detection software and to inform authors in case of detected similarities or irregularities.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Disclosure of conflicts of interest may involve multiple forms. If the author or the institution to which the author is affiliated has received financial support in the design or conduct of the research, this must be clearly stated in the manuscript and disclosed to the editorial office. Publishing research that is financially supported by individuals or institutions involved in its preparation is an important means of ensuring transparency and preventing conflicts of interest.

At the end of the manuscript, under the heading “Conflicts of Interest”, all authors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest, including any financial (direct or indirect), personal, or other relationships with individuals or organizations that could influence the work within three years prior to its submission.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

If an author discovers an error in a published paper, they are obliged to immediately inform the journal editors or publisher and cooperate with the editorial board in correcting or retracting the article as soon as possible.

Copyright

The author(s) warrant that the manuscript is their original work, that it has not been previously published, and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. They also confirm that its publication has been approved by all co-authors (if any), as well as, where applicable, by the responsible authorities at the institution where the research was conducted. The author(s) further confirm that the manuscript contains no unfounded or unlawful statements and does not infringe upon the rights of others. If any copyrighted material is included, the author(s) are responsible for obtaining written permission from the copyright holders. The corresponding author, acting on behalf of all authors, confirms that they have full authority to grant these rights on behalf of all co-authors.

Rights Granted to the Publisher

By signing this agreement, the corresponding author grants the Publisher the following rights to the manuscript, including any supplementary material, as well as any parts, extracts, or elements thereof:

  • the right to reproduce and distribute the manuscript in printed form, including print-on-demand editions;
  • the right to produce prepublications, reprints, and special editions of the manuscript;
  • the right to translate the manuscript into other languages;
  • the right to reproduce the manuscript using photomechanical or similar means, including but not limited to photocopying, and the right to distribute such reproductions;
  • the right to reproduce and distribute the manuscript electronically or optically on any data carriers or storage media, including but not limited to hard drives, CD-ROMs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, mini-discs, and data tapes, as well as the right to distribute the manuscript via such media;
  • the right to store the manuscript in databases, including online databases, and the right to transmit the manuscript through all technical systems and modes;
  • the right to make the manuscript available to the public or to closed user groups on demand, for use on screens or other reading devices (including e-books), and in printable form for the user, via the internet, other online services, or internal or external networks.
